dilbert | February 12

Jonathan bought me the dilbert page a day calendar a couple of weeks ago. I really like dilbert - it tickles my sense of humour! Like this one that showed up last week on the calendar! :D

to the J-man!

I had fun creating this by looking on google images - it's not always easy to find what you want...

I grabbed the idea from photojojo

What a great way to get the message across visually!

candy hearts...

Your Candy Heart Says "First Kiss"

You're a true romantic who brings an innocent hope to each new relationship.
You see the good in every person you date, and you relish each step of falling in love.

Your ideal Valentine's Day date: a romantic dinner your sweetie cooks for you

Your flirting style: friendly and sweet

What turns you off: cynics who don't believe in romance

Why you're hot: you always keep the romance alive

Happy Valentines Day!

Love is in the air!! :)
But then so is a little rain... :(

I tend not to go in for all these, what I call "American" Holidays. They seem to be a little over the top, a little contrived... It's only been the past 2-3 years that we've done much of anything for the day, and that was mainly for the girls. This year I gave them little tote bags, with 3 bracelets and a little felted heart (which I made very last minute, last night!).

I haven't been able to do anything much for my man, mainly because both Hope & Briahna are sick. :( I know he understands - it's part of what I love about him.

I think perhaps the best thing about Valentines Day is remembering why you love the people you love. So bare with me while I take a moment to tell you what I love about Jonathan. It's a little bit mushy...

I love that he puts other peoples needs above his own. He will always talk listen to me on the phone if I need to unload. I think he is cute - he still gives me butterflies! I can talk to him about anything on the planet and he doesn't laugh at me or make me feel small. He adores our children, and is a great FANTASTIC dad. Every day I am learning something new about him, but in saying that I feel very comfortable with him. I am going to spend the rest of my days with this guy and that feels good and right!

I love you Jonathan - I am ready to say that in front 0f all blogdom. The past 15 years have been a blast! Happy LOVE Day to you!!!

Parachute here we come!!!!

So, we couldn't get a dog sitter (which means we can't stay on-site cos we need to be at home) but we'll be there!!! We're gonna travel today and tomorrow (Friday & Saturday have the best line ups). The kids are with their grandparents, so we are free and easy.... hehehe! The manic laugh starts!

My hubby runs the unofficial blog about the festival - go there if you wanna know what it's all about!!! (just click on the image above)

They're running a competition that can win you a pile of DVD's courtesy of Filmguide which my hubby is also involved in. :) Unfortunately, you can only enter if you attend Parachute Festival!

vomiting... eeeew!

My middle daughter has been throwing up all morning, I woke up to her trying to be quiet about it in the toilet. So sweet, she didn't want to wake us up!

The poor thing is really HATING it! I'm somewhat annoyed at the parents who took their sick boy to swimming lessons on Saturday - don't they know it's not nice to bring a child who was throwing up an hour before the lesson?!?!! He was half way through the lesson when his dad explained to the instructor why he was swimming slowly... Grrrrr!

I really don't have the stomach for vomit - I think that happened when I was pregnant and throwing up 10 times a day for the entire 9 months! I've done my dash with it!!

So think of me today - my arms around my sick daughter!
